Who is at risk?
Children of every gender, age, race, ethnicity, background, socioeconomic status and family structure are at risk.
No Child is immune
Perpetrators look for -- passive, quiet, troubled, lonely children from single parent or broken homes. Children who are particularly trusting. Children who have witnessed or victims to other crimes
Risk increases when children live with step parents, single parents and foster parents.
The most vulnerable age for children are 7 - 13 years old
Attempted rape is the intent to rape. Rape is the unlawful sexual intercourse or any other sexual penetration of the vagina, anus or mouth of another person with or without force by a sex organ, other body part, or foreign object without the consent of the victim
Molestation -the crime of sexual acts with children up to the age of 18. including touching private parts, exposure of genitalia,. taking pornographic pictures, rape, inducement of sexual acts with molester or other children.
Sexual abuse - Unwanted sexual activity with perpetrators using force, making threats or taking advantage of victims not able to give consent.
